The Williams School Preschool at Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (CSL) is an art and music preschool program for three and four year olds. The Williams School and CSL have enjoyed a deep history of partnership that spans nearly 90 years and it is this foundational relationship that enabled Williams to expand its community of learners to this additional site.
Open to 3- and 4-year olds, we want students to collaborate, engage in dialogue, think, critique, negotiate, problem solve, and take creative risks. Through this approach, students are active learners working in a dynamic environment. The preschool space has natural light, white walls with a touch of color, collaborative learning spaces that include pottery/clay, art, music, interactive technology, literacy, math, science, construction, and dramatic play. The Gallery area of the preschool is a place where art and projects are displayed to demonstrate students’ interests and products of their learning.
The preschool’s arts and music program aligns with the mission and vision of The Williams School with a focus on innovative, child-centered education. Outdoor learning will also be a key component of the program.
