Meeting the needs of our individual students while moving towards independent learning.
Our Learning Resource Program provides tailored support for our students, teachers and parents.
All students learn at different rates and often learn best in certain modalities. Some students may also have mild learning differences diagnosed through educational testing that we can accommodate in order to strengthen the development of certain skills. Communication between teachers and parents is the cornerstone of our program and is crucial for helping students succeed.

Informally, our rising 8th Graders begin thinking about high school while still in 7th Grade, as our graduating 8th Grade class traditionally invites them to their graduation ceremonies.
Our 8th Grade students formally begin receiving programmatic high school advisement in fall of 8th Grade. During fall conference days, these students and their parents meet with our school counselor to review high school programs options. In addition to discussing what high school(s) might best map to the needs and goals of their student, parents also receive information regarding each high school’s application process.
In October, we host Life After Williams, which is like a college fair for high schools. Between twelve and fifteen schools typically attend, and they set up tables to meet potential students and families. Some high schools may bring along a Williams alum to help answer questions.
The school counselor facilitates all teacher recommendations and transcripts for requesting high schools. This single point of contact streamlines the process for our students and parents.
With shelves of books stretching to our ceilings, soft and cozy furniture, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, many current and past students rank our library as their favorite place on campus.
Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade receive library instruction one to two times each week with includes research and the use of databases. These students also have a designated library check-out time each week in which they can explore titles to read and take home.
Middle school students have the benefit of library media skills integrated into their core courses and an open library system where they can conduct research, study, check-out, and even volunteer in the library. As a school, we subscribe to multiple databases and maintain a vast collection of over 13,000 books across nearly every genre and content area. The collection is diverse, inclusive, and updated continuously.
