A Letter from the President of the Board of Trustees
A Conversation with The Williams School's President of the Board of Trustees
Dear Williams School Families:
Our Fall season at The Williams School has begun with new energy and great vitality, and we thank you all for the part you have played.
We listened to your input from last year’s surveys and took action on your suggestions. The resulting New & Improved Magazine Sale, Carol Robe Project, and Annual Fun Dance have launched our season with new projects and renewed enthusiasm. Our State of the School will detail our progress on goals set forth last year and proffered new goals for academic and financial imperatives for the coming year. Our Annual Fund kickoff drive this fall invites all of you to participate in some way to close the inherent gap we have every year between what it costs to run the school and what we charge for tuition. You can expect a full accounting of your generosity and our stewardship of your investment to be forthcoming. We are off to a great start and are grateful that you are a part of our Williams School family.
When we seek your help in fundraising for our treasured school, we realize that we must then put your investment to work and report to you the ways in which your generosity is used to benefit our students. For that reason we have prepared the enclosed Q and A dialogue. Naturally, we would much prefer this to be a personal conversation with you. We welcome a face-to-face dialogue and hope you will feel free to contact us if you would like to clarify or extend our discussion. We value your opinion and would love to hear from you.
Many have already been very supportive this fall, and we thank you. We send this letter so that we can share with you the full scope of projects and activities planned. If you have not yet had an opportunity to participate, we appreciate your thoughtful consideration. An important foundation of the teaching at The Williams School is providing a model of behavior that we strive to instill in our students. The Williams School Board of Trustees has made our personal pledges, and we hope you will, out of respect for our family institution, complete your annual fund pledge. In so doing, you will help us maintain our standards in raising generations of children to be honorable, unique, accomplished, responsible, well-balanced individuals who will carry on the leadership of our world.
