Just as in your family, The Williams School has everyday expenses that require a healthy, dependable, and versatile checking account. Annual gifts of all sizes not only help us meet these expenses, but they also allow our teachers, Board, and administrators the means to achieve extraordinary accomplishments. Annual funds provide 10% of our annual operating budget and keep us current, paying not only the electric bill but also teacher salaries, student program expenses, and necessities that prepare our students for life today and in the future. Some of the ways we use your funds are:
to pay our exceptional teachers;
to provide students with books for their academic courses;
to equip faculty and students with educational materials in art, science, and all academic subjects;
to purchase student gym uniforms and sports equipment;
to fund cultural opportunities which expand students’ interests and skills offered by field trips, cultural and guest opportunities;
to support our parents and families with our student artwork color calendar, stewardship publications such as the Annual Report, and communications tools such as RenWeb and our website;
to support the traditions of our community such as scores for our school musical and rental charges and musical accompaniment fees for performances.
Our tuition does not equal the cost to educate each child in The Williams School way. If it did, we would lose many of our treasured students and families. Our annual fund therefore makes up this difference. The shortfall this year is $2,500 per student.
We must raise $230,000 this year: $100,000 in unrestricted funds and $130,000 from sponsorships and events.
Our school's small size, a tremendous advantage because each child receives unparalleled individual attention, elevates the importance of each family and also increases the impact of our actions. In a small school, each gift is truly significant. Our goal is for 100% participation in our annual fund, and we encourage each Williams School family member - parent, grandparent, alumnus, alumna, alumni parents, community partners and friends - to assist us in assuring the survival, strength, and success of our gem of a school.

While a Williams School education remains unmatched, many community-oriented corporations offer matching gift programs which allow your gift to The Williams School to double. Giving stock through electronic transfer is the simplest method if you maintain your holdings in a brokered account.
