Teacher, Primary (K-2):

The Williams School, an independent K-8 school located in the Ghent area of Norfolk, is seeking a full-time elementary teacher for the primary grades (K-2).  The ideal candidate will embrace a co-teaching model that focuses on developing a working relationship with his/her fellow classroom teacher to play off of each other’s teaching strengths.  We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a small school, garnering close relationships with students and their families, and who understands the value of educating the whole child in a K-8 environment.

Teacher, Elementary (3-5)

Teacher, Middle School Language Arts (6-8)

The Williams School, an independent K-8 school located in the Ghent area of Norfolk, is seeking a full-time middle school Language Arts teacher.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of young adult/adolescent literature, have a passion for teaching writing in various forms, approach learning with enthusiasm for process-driven education, and be creative with engaging students in their own learning.  We are looking for someone who values inclusion, collaboration, and development of strong relationships with his/her students.  As part of our middle school team, flexibility and the capability to work, plan, and communicate effectively with other middle school teachers is a must.

Physical Education Assistant

The Physical Education Assistant will promote wellness, team work, self discipline and sportsmanship. The applicant must be able to assist the Physical Education teachers with instructional activities, work collaboratively, work effectively with students one on one and whole class, coach middle school students in grades 6-8, prepare lesson plans and teach health class, mentor middle school students in our Advisory program and obtain a CDL license.
