The Williams School is an independent K-8 day school located in the Hague area of Ghent in Norfolk, Virginia.
Network Manager: Job duties include diagnosing and fixing problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software and systems. Duties also include monitoring, maintaining, upgrading, installing and repairing school computer systems and school infrastructure. Candidate will provide Help Desk skills in working with network accounts, with teachers to resolve issues with classroom equipment and with students to resolve issues with their devices. Must complete complex projects with minimal supervision. Determine future network needs and plan for changes. Submit budget requests and documentation. Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new features/equipment whether cloud-based or local. Implement network policies as directed. Systems include but are not limited to Samsung telephone system, Video Enterprise camera system, Aerohive Enterprise Wireless, Paxton Net2 door security and G Suite for Education. Inkjet/Laser cartridge and electronic recycling will also be a job duty. Network security and maintaining confidentiality of all network information is a priority. 3-5 years experience preferred.
