The Extended Day programs provide a safe and nurturing environment for TWS students to learn, grow and play. We encourage individuality, creativity and cooperative behavior through activities such as cooking, crafts, games, and many others.
Owl’s Breakfast is from 7:15-8:00 am and is led by Robert Gerrard. The children enjoy a continental breakfast, juice and milk. Students may participate in activities or quietly study until dismissal to class at 8:00 am. Drop off is through the lunch room door on Fairfax Avenue. Parents must sign in their children.
Owl’s After School is from 3:30-6:00 pm and is led by our Program Leader, Joyce Soria, with Ann Daly and Chelsea Jonak. Our after school program is divided into two age groups:
Kindergarten through 4th grade enjoy recess until 4:00 pm, followed by a snack with juice or milk, then a supervised homework session, ending with activity time or simply relaxing with friends.
5th through 8th grade begin with recess until 4:00 pm, followed by a snack with the option to begin supervised homework earlier. When homework is completed, activities and recreation are enjoyed.
Children sign in at dismissal and must be signed out by their parents or by a person authorized by the parent. If the authorized person is not known by the Extended Day staff, ID will be requested
